All Set for the CMA Quiz Bowl in Four Locations!

CMA Quiz Bowl_March 30 2014There’s no stopping now. The CMA Quiz Bowl is all set to take place in four different locations. In cooperation with the Institute of Management Accountants, the Insights Team have been privileged to co-sponsor the event in three prominent schools of Accountancy in the country.

For Baguio and the Cordillera region, where a record 150 participants will be heading to the University of Baguio (UB) campus to vie ¬†for the top prizes at stake, we would like to acknowledge the efforts of UB Dean Kareen Leon and Sir Rhad Vic Estoque, together with CPA Reviewer Mark Alyson Ngina, for making this dream a reality. Students from University of the Cordilleras, Colegio de Dagupan, King’s College of the Philippines, and Saint Louis University comprise the strong 150-delegates who will put to test their skills in the area of management accounting, cost accounting, and corporate finance.

De La Salle University-Dasmarinas co-sponsors the event in the Cavite region. Special thanks to Dr. Mary Felidora Amparo, Dean of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy, and Ma’am Eden Cabrera, Department Head, for allowing the use of their room facilities where a total of 103 students and college instructors from DLSU, Lyceum of the Philippines University, and Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite, will partake in the quiz contest.

In Nueva Ecija area, Wesleyan University Philippines and Araullo University-PHINMA students spearhead the 72-man competitors from Cabanatuan City. Special thanks go to student leader, June Jorie Barlis, who assisted in organizing this event despite heavy schedule as a new graduate this year.

A lone participant from Lyceum of the Philippines University in Manila and six participants from San Pablo Colleges complete the cast of hopefuls who stand the chance to earn the coveted title as winners of the first-ever CMA Quiz Bowl.
